This list lists the top-selling small cars. It is based upon features that are appealing to average consumers and a competitive price. Many of these cars offer features normally reserved for more expensive models. These small cars were the most popular in 2017 and earned their place on the top 10 lists. Prices shown include destination fees and automatic transmission charges. Some models are slated to receive redesigns for the 2019 model year.
Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla is an affordable small car that's fuel-efficient and economical. The Corolla has been the best-selling car in the world. Although not the most powerful, the Corolla offers excellent handling for its cost. If you are looking to upgrade your car, it is available with either a hybrid or an all-wheel drive.

Honda Jazz
The Honda Jazz is a small car that's a class above the rest. The Honda Jazz's compact design is both easy on the eyes, spacious and practical. It may seem more expensive than other compact cars but the focus on space makes it an attractive choice for many buyers. It is a little less fun and stylish than other small cars like the Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo.
Mitsubishi Mirage
The Mitsubishi Mirage offers low horsepower and slow acceleration. Its interior is made mostly of hard plastic. The odd 60/40 split-back seat is also included. After it's folded, the thin floor carpet can become wrinkled. Many panels are painted metallic and have exposed seams. The ride is also quite dull. The Mitsubishi Mirage only gets 36 mpg within the city, and 44 mpg when driving on the highway. It isn't enough to make the Mitsubishi Mirage one of the top small cars, but it is better than nothing.
Nissan Versa sedan
The Nissan Versa sedan has increased its size without compromising its sportiness, and it has a smooth ride for a small car. It is precise and agile in city traffic. Its four-cylinder engine, which produces 122 horsepower, can become tired after hard accelerations or fast passing maneuvers. The sedan's extensive features list more than compensates for these shortcomings.
Chevrolet Spark
Chevrolet has released the Chevrolet Spark subcompact car. It was also known previously as the Matiz. It was originally produced in 1998. The Spark was later renamed. The car was available in three trims and offered a choice of a 1.0 or 1.2-liter gasoline engine. There are two transmission options for the Spark: manual and automatic. It is manufactured under Vietnamese license.

Volkswagen Polo
The Volkswagen Polo has been loved for its drive and dynamics. The new generation is more flexible and compliant when it comes to speed breaks as well as handling bumps inside and outside of the city. It doesn't produce the same loud thuds like previous models and is more refined for Indian roads. It has excellent ride comfort and absorbs surface harshness quickly.
